Published in 1990, this short five-song collection was created by two Illinois alumni, Don Heitler and Tom Pricket. Although they were both born in the same town, they did not know each other until they met in band in the late 1950s. Heitler and Pricket decided to publish their own arrangements of some of the most popular Illinois songs to honor both the 70th homecoming as well as 100 years of football tradition at the university. These bite-sized, upbeat versions of some U. of I. classics were meant to be easily played and sung by anyone looking to rouse some school spirit.
